Post #99: Another Auld Lang Syne

As I was falling asleep last night, I remembered a favorite song by Dan Fogelberg, Same Auld Lang Syne. This morning, I was still thinking about it, so I googled the term to find out that it translates as times long past. And the traditional Scottish song (dating back to the 1700s), is about remembering old friendships in the new year.

And so it is that we prepare to say goodbye to 2012, and hello to 2013 (a year that many thought would never come). We reflect on the good times and the challenging times. We are grateful for the blessings in our lives, and we acknowledge our losses and unrealized dreams.

It is in this spirit that I express my intense gratitude for the family, friends, acquaintances, and readers who inspire me to learn and grow, and to put my thoughts and insights in writing. I wish you only the best in the new year. Many, many blessings to you.
